Randy has over 30 years experience in civil litigation, including personal injury, employment law, consumer protection, business litigation, and family law. He has also handled many educational law cases, representing students with disabilities in IDEA matters and representing teachers and administrators in disciplinary cases.
In his over 30 years of practice, Randy has achieved substantial settlements and verdicts for his clients, including:
- A judgment for $6,000,000 in an ERISA case for workers who were wrongfully denied benefits by their employer;
- A verdict of $3,490,000 for a man killed in a bucket truck accident;
- A settlement of $1,100,000 in a medical malpractice case;
- A settlement of $1,050,000 for a man injured in an accident with a gravel truck;
- An award of $1,200,000 for a homeowner who was the victim of a mortgage fraud scam;
- A settlement of $1,000,000 in a wrongful discharge and malicious prosecution case;
- A wrongful death settlement for $10,500,000 for the family of a man killed in a car wreck; and
- A not guilty verdict for a man facing seven life sentences.
Randy has published articles on damages in civil actions, the use of child witnesses, and other topics.
Randy graduated from NKU Chase College of Law, earning a JD Degree, magna cum laude, finishing first in his class. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Kentucky University, graduating magna cum laude. He has been recognized by his peers as a Super Lawyer since 2018.
He served 18 years on the Erlanger City Council, and volunteered for Envision Learning Center, an organization which provided educational assistance to lower income children. Randy has been involved in the Northern Kentucky Baptist Association, where he has served as Moderator and on many different committees.
Randy resides in Erlanger, Kentucky, with his wife, Kathy. Kathy is employed by St. Elizabeth as a medical technologist. They have two children, Amy and Benjamin. Amy earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Kentucky and her MBA from Northern Kentucky University. She works for Fidelity Investments as a Director. Ben served five years in the United States Army, where he was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. Upon his discharge, he finished his college at the University of Memphis, and he is currently attending medical school at Lincoln College of Osteopathy in Knoxville, Tennessee.
