Daniel A. Hunt is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio and the Commonwealth of Kentucky, as well as before the federal courts in the Eastern District of Kentucky and Southern District of Ohio.
Dan is a partner in the firm, focusing much of his time on Business & Corporate Law. Dan routinely helps his business clients navigate various administrative and regulatory compliance processes, from wage/hour and unemployment claims to ABC licensing issues. He also works closely with his business clients on creditors’ rights and collection matters. Dan has experience defending clients against complex product liability, class action, construction, premises liability and lender liability claims.
Dan also enjoys helping his business and individual clients complete their business succession and estate planning by drafting trusts, wills, living wills, powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney and various other crucial planning documents. He also has an active estate litigation practice with experience representing both executors and beneficiaries alike.
Additionally, Dan works closely with a myriad of local government agencies ranging from municipalities to regional public authorities, advising them on a multitude of local, state and federal regulatory issues.
Dan was instrumental in helping the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati International Airport become the first airport in the United States to receive SAFETY Act Certification and Designation awards from the Department of Homeland Security.
Dan was selected as a Super Lawyers Kentucky Rising Star in 2019, 2018, and 2017, a distinction which no more than 2.5% of Kentucky lawyers receive.

Dan obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Louisville and his Juris Doctorate from Salmon P. Chase College of Law, summa cum laude.
While at Chase, Dan served as an Associate Editor of the Northern Kentucky Law Review and completed a summer externship with Senior Federal Judge for the Eastern District of Kentucky, William O. Bertelsman.
Dan is a past member of the Salmon P. Chase Inn of Court and also sat on the Editorial Board of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association’s legal journal, the Lex Loci. Dan also previously worked as an adjunct professor at Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law.
Dan is currently a member of the Kentucky, Ohio, and Northern Kentucky Bar Associations. In the community, Dan currently serves as a member of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association Board of Directors and on the steering committee for the Horizon Community Fund of Northern Kentucky, Inc.’s Community Accelerator. Dan was past Board Chairman for BAWAC, Inc. and continues to serve as the Co-Chair of BAWAC’s One Million Dollar Empowering Life-long Abilities Capital Campaign.
He is also a member of the inaugural Roebling Society class of the Metropolitan Club.
Dan previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for the I Have Wings Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. and on the Northern Kentucky Advisory Board of 4C for Children, Inc.
He is a Past-President of LEGACY (now known as NKYP) and also served on its Steering and Business Engagement committees. Dan served on the Vision 2015 myNKY visioning process Leadership Team.
He is also a past member of the Rotary Club of Florence, Kentucky.
